On February 3, 2006, Jewel and Greg held a free event at Straight Out of Harlem in New York City. We read love poetry to one another, and the poet (Elana) and composer (Jowee Omicil) for the CD, Forever, My Love, performed also. The intimate, classy spot (founded by Janet Rodriguez) was packed by friends, VoR subscribers, and some of our most special folks: Robyn Roberts (Greg’s neighbor and close friend of Elana’s), Sandra Oei, who designed this website as well as Eugene Palmore, another of our wonderful poets.

Most photos were taken by Donald Cogsville (co-founder of SOH, and husband of Janet.) Randy Ortiz also took some pix. We had a magnificent time, as you’ll see!
