If I had to name what we have together
I would have to name it
Forever, timeless, infinite
If I had to describe what we have together
I would have to call it
Remarkable, incredible, breathtaking, fascinating, earth-shaking
If I saw what we have on a shelf in a store
it would be labeled "new & improved",
"now even better"
If what we have together could have a scent
it would smell like chocolate and raspberries
honeycaramel, vanilla and cinnamon
If I could describe what we feel like
I would have to say it feels like meadow's grass
and mother's milk, cashmere and soft cotton . . . freshly spun silk.
If I could put these things in a box and tie
it with a bow
Leave it at your front door
You would open it and find what we have inside
You may call it love but I named it forever
